Macia

MACIA is a white grained, open pollinated variety from ICRISAT. It is a medium  maturity variety with good disease tolerance and can be grown throughout the country, but particularly in areas where maize is a high risk crop. 

Sorghum has a high drought tolerance and is likely to produce a crop even in years of less than average rainfall. MACIA produces very uniform robust plants with bold compact heads. The plants are shorter than SV2. 

- Height: 1.3 - 1.5 m with thick stem.
- Colour: Tan plant.
- Leaf Shape: Broad and dropping.
