Southern Blue

Southern Blue was bred by ARC - RFI at the Cedara Centre in Pietermaritzburg. It is a local cultivar. Southern Blue offers quick feed and longevity where irrigation is not possible. Southern Blue has been used to very good effect for over-sowing into Kikuyu in late Autumn and so is available as feed at an early stage.

Planing takes place from February onwards. Southern Blue is adapted to our extreme temperatures and low rainfall.

Southern Blue can be established from early February in cooler areas until late Autumn.

This variety is protected by Plant Breeders Rights.
