Stooling Rye

Leba

Leba is a later flowering Stooling. Leba is fairly drought and cold tolerant but tends to go into Stooling mode when it gets too cold. Leba has regenerative properties after a grazing.

Leba needs a cold spell to vernalize and can therefore be planted fairly early in Autumn (February/ March).

Leba has good dry matter production. Recommended sewing rate 35 - 50 kg/ha dry land, planted in rows. 75 - 100 kg/ha broadcast or irrigated.
