🌱SUPREME Q – Italian Ryegrass

SUPREME Q represents the next generation of Italian ryegrass from ARC-API Cedara. With high dry matter and elevated TNC (Total Non-Structural Carbohydrates), this variety supports higher weight gains in beef and sheep, and has demonstrated significant improvements in dairy milk yield in KZN and Eastern Cape tests.

🌱CAVERSHAM – Italian Ryegrass

A locally adapted diploid Italian ryegrass bred at ARC Cedara. CAVERSHAM is rust-resistant, high yielding, and proven to outperform MIDMAR by 2.97 t DM/ha in trials. It blends European pedigree with over a decade of local adaptation, making it a reliable choice for South African forage systems.

🌱SUPERCHARGE – Italian Ryegrass

An exceptional high-sugar tetraploid ryegrass developed for superior palatability and energy. SUPERCHARGE offers vigorous establishment, dense leafy growth, and is ideal for high-producing dairy systems needing top-quality forage.

PASSEREL PLUS –

Westerwold Ryegrass

A cool-season diploid ryegrass that thrives on well-drained soils with good moisture retention. PASSEREL PLUS is cold-tolerant, rust-resistant, and ideal for:

•    Rotational grazing from late autumn

•    Strong late spring & early summer production

•    High-quality hay cutting

TONIC – Plantain Herb

TONIC is a winter-active perennial herb highly valued for sheep and cattle pastures. With its deep, dense root system and genetic durability, it performs well for 2–3 years and improves milk production during summer when grass quality declines. Suitable for diverse soils and climates.

NEMAFIX – Black Mustard

A superb cover crop option. Black mustard (Brassica nigra) is allelopathic, helping suppress weed emergence when densely sown. Although it does not fix atmospheric nitrogen, it sequesters nitrogen from the soil and returns it upon senescence, supporting soil health in the long term.

WHITE OATS- Targa

Exhibited excellent early growth in trials producing an average 25% more dry matter than other standard varieties. Tests indicate that TARGA will have a higher metabolism energy when grazed late in the season.

STOOLING RYE – Southern Blue

Offers quick feed and longevity where irrigation is not possible. SOUTHERN BLUE has been used to very good effect for over-sowing into Kikuyu in late autumn and so is available as feed at an early stage. Planting takes place from February onwards. Adapted to our extreme temperatures and low rainfall. Established from early February in cooler areas until late autumn.

🌾 These winter-focused varieties provide farmers with dependable, high-quality forage solutions throughout the colder months. Each product offers unique benefits - from quick winter feed to long-term pasture performance and soil improvement.
